For a very, very long time I've considered redoing the Lexington class as finalized in 1919 with a hefty inspiration from the HMS Hood. The hull is almost the same as the old drawing. Almost everything above the deck, however has been redone. Most parts (outdated) have been updated and she now has the appropriate color scheme. I've drastically changed the underwater hull. The bilge keel is not as tall to reflect her battlecruiser hull. She is after all, very long with a fine hull line, unlike the battleships that have an amazingly fat hull.

I am also working on the 1916 design with 10x14" guns in four twin and triple turrets, and her most powerful armament are the 7 smokestacks and a top speed of 36kts.

Superb!

I can see a stair “clip” with an angled part of the superstructure and the fences blocking the upper end of that stair made such a stair useless.

The stair is located at the second turret, that superfired over the first turret.

The stair does not clip. It sticks out at a different angle than the superstrucutre.
