Here's the Taksin and Etna class cruisers that were never completed in either guise due to the shifting priorities of the war.

The Taksin was a small class of cruiser ordered in 1938 by Siam (Thailand.) The class armed with 6x152,6mm Bofors guns, 6x76mm AA and 8x13,2mm MG guns. From what I have seen the class would most likely have carried either the Supermarine Walrus or the Macchi M.41, I went with the Walrus since it was not a flying fossil.

When Italy joined the war they seized the two ships and renamed them Etna and Vesuvio. They were redesigned as fast transports for shuttling personnel and equipment to North-Africa. To save weight and due to Sweden not supplying the guns, the 135mm twin mounts replaced the 6" guns, the 65mm AA gun the 76mm and a whole host of 20mm twin mounts dotted her superstructure. The torpedo tubes, crane, mast and catapult were removed, the superstructure remodeled and the funnel moved fore and raked backwards, giving the Etna class a completely different look compared to its original design. Top speed remained at slow-for a cruiser; 28kts.
