Here's a thread for Italian export cruisers, for now, only the offerings to Romania have been drawn.

First up is the Ansaldo U.P.90 and U.P.90Bis design. The U.P.90 started out as an Ansaldos' take on the German Deutschland class, albeit faster and armed with dual-purpose secondary battery and smaller main guns. The initial design has 6x253/55 in triple mounts, 12x127mm DP guns in twin mounts, 8x40mm guns in enclosed twin mounts, 12x20mm guns in twin mounts and two triple torpedo launchers. Size and protection was modest. The Bis traded the larger guns for smaller 152mm guns in triple mounts fore and aft with a twin mount superfiring above the fore triple mount.

The U.P.102 was a larger and more powerful design armed with 280mm guns in triple turrets. It also trades the 127mm DP guns for an equal number of 120mm twin DP mounts, and doubles the number of 40mm mounts.

Ansaldos' rival company, Odero Terni Orlando also campe up with an export cruiser offered to Romania. Their design was much smaller and faster, armed with triple 152mm mounts, all fore with the stern dedicated to aviation facilities. There was no secondary battery/heavy AA, but the design did have four quad 37mm mounts and four quad 13,2mm mounts. As with the previous designs, the type of plane is not specified, but I chose the He-114 as Romania did have this type of plane at the time these designs were made. Romania would later purchase Arado-196, but thats later down the line and probably the plane of choice for when the ships might have been completed if built.

I forgot to post these yesterday, but here's the three large cruiser designs offered to Spain by Ansaldo.

All of these designs have standard Italian armament such as the Breda 20mm and 37mm mounts and 90mm AAA guns, though two of the designs have a new Minizini-based twin mount. Realistically had these been built most of the Italian gear would probably be replaced by German stuff, such as the Flakvierling and the LM 43 AA gun. It is also not beyond the realms of possibility that the Italian 90mm guns would have been replaced by the native 120mm twin mounts that were triaxially stabilized, much like the German 105mm mounts and the then in development 128mm mounts.
