It was actually based on the Type 21 hull, quite a feat! But no takers :)

Also, Alex 'borrowed' our AU twin bofors, but in real life it would have been twin Breda's

A very odd little design. The later modular designs were certainly better even though they fared no better export wise.

Wow! I can actually remember seeing an artist's impression of this in a defence magazine when I was University round about 74/75. Why do people think none were ever built - too small for the big navies and too big for the little ones? Or is it just the low hit ratio of private designs?

Well it's better than it being say amidships where it could break the ship's back. At least if the bow blows off good compartmenting should save the boat... USS Minneapolis anyone?

True, but accidents are far more likely to happen in the first place out there.

No it isn't. The bomb lift is amidships, so the magazines will be. The "Aircraft stores" are forward. That's spare parts.
