WIP!

this is one of the early concepts for the vikrant, heavily based on the italian cavour class. I still need to fix some details (inside the hangars, mooring gear on the bow, prop) and put the aircraft on, then she's done.
comments?

I am planning to.... I was originally only planning to do the latest version, but the lack of references for those made me do the entire line in the hope for refs to come :P

I thought from the pictures the ramp would be the same sort of angle as the Kutznetsov Class.

Hmm...maybe I should have waited for this design instead of going with my own Cavour mod, which isn't as extensive, from the looks of things.

I got some news.
She will be released in the waters a about July/August this year.
From then on the superstructure will be constructed.

According to news from a friend who was there this week (wowa?!) he has seen the hull already constructed, they are about to fit the flight deck.

To bad there are no pictures AT ALL of her construction.
Exept a video from Indian new show (at the start, where you see a lot of construction blocks near the dock) or the google maps picture of the hull being constructed in a far shedule.
To bad the Indian government requested google earth to delete the new pictures of satalites of that construction site.

Also, these class of carriers are constructed with a weird structure.
They are fitted so that the Chinese anti carrier missiles cant penetrate into the hangar. That is a really awesome feature.
Especially since they can still bring the planes to the flight deck, without having any gap towards the hangar.
Lets see what china does against that.
