Wreck the deck? Even without penetration, a big dent in the deck will make flight ops impossible.

Yeah but the chinese have fregmentation missiles (like i do have in my and Alex AU of china).
If it explodes on the deck, then it is less effective then in the ship.

Plus the large anti carrier missiles without fregmentation only destroys the deck then.
That is quite and easy fix compared to an explotion in the ship?!

you are right. your pictures show 3 designs: an french proposal, the final (for now) proposal and the large (possibly official) model, which differs on some point with the renders but gives no accurate details and differs on some points. I will make all versions in the future, but the above version is another one (the only one I found an sideview of, and it was the earliest I found, so I did that one first)

Hmmm, the "Sky-Jump Ramp" look very "big/large" (and too angled ?)
The forward part of the ship (hull/Sky-Jump Ramp) need more small details

Also, these class of carriers are constructed with a weird structure.
They are fitted so that the Chinese anti carrier missiles cant penetrate into the hangar. That is a really awesome feature.
Especially since they can still bring the planes to the flight deck, without having any gap towards the hangar.
Lets see what china does against that.
Don't think they are really interested in the Hangar - if your shooting at a ship, then you do what you need to sink it. So if China wanted to sink her they would try to do what every one else does- put holes in it. :)

Yep
For the CIWS, unlikely to carry two or three 76mm italian gun
More likely 6-barreled "russian made" 30mm gun or even "Kortik" CIWS...

3 oto 76's are stated to be on board and were in the initial specs as well
