A very fine drawing. I remember discussing this project over at Warships Discussion 3.0. Nobody could quite work out how the internal hangar was arranged. A centreline hangar would be wasteful of what little hullspace there is and the funnel in the middle seems to block any attempt to move an aircraft forwards internally. Certainly an odd little design. |

Lovely drawing DG_Alpha, an unusual commerce raider IMHO. |

Nicely done, those forward-firing torpedoes are a peculiar feature. |

Thanks, everyone!. While working on design II, I have made a few corrections/modifications to design I. Small Seaplane Carrier for Commerce Raiding and U-Boat Escort Accompanying design no. I was design II, finished and submitted on the same date. It was basically the same as design no. I, except bigger. The most notable was the increased number of shafts from two to three and the overhanging platforms for the forward 105mm flaks. With a longer ship also came more space for more aircraft, bigger engines and thus a higher top speed. Technical Data:

Excellent work, as usual! Always a pleasure to see your drawings. A tiny nitpick, if I may: There are some miscoloured pixels on the rigging and a single pink pixel behind the forward Flakvierling (starboard - top view). |

Thanks for pointing that out. That's what I get for using too many layers... Mistakes have been corrected. |

Indeed, another fine drawing. Still an odd concept though, its strange how the German designers came up with so many odd hybrid carriers and oddities as these. |
