Those are brilliant! I am using Design Proposal no.2 as a basis for a fictional conversion of the incomplete Mackensen class battlecruiser into an aircraft carrier. |

Thanks everyone for the comment. Those concepts are not exactly something that you could find in a book or other publication so far. So, prepare for a large wall of text, I have updated the previous post with a lot of information, in case anyone is interested.
I am using Design Proposal no.2 as a basis for a fictional conversion of the incomplete Mackensen class battlecruiser into an aircraft carrier.
Looking forward to that as well. I have entertained the thought myself, but so far, I has not been much than only a thought...

I'm guessing that the D.VII has a slow enough landing speed as not to need arrestor wires. |
