first WIP. still need to detail and shade a lot, but wanted to gather some comments first.

and YES, I know the ship is plain ugly ;) but it is an very distinctive design, and I thought it should be in here (and my eyes hurted too much from the images made by baghera and others with caterpillar drives and so on.)

and an question: I have no idea where to place the CIWS and liferafts, has anybody an good idea?

well, let's see on your comments.... I HAVE TO DO THE DETAILING YET, SO COMMS AREN'T DONE YET BUT I KNOW I NEED THEM.
same counts for your details on the bow, and indeed, the bulb needs redoing (the current lines are all coming from my refs.)
and for the radars: there were AEGIS panels shown on the corners of the hull originally, I have replaced them by SPY-3.

for the liferafts: I would ruin the stealth if I put them there. that's why I am wondering where to put them....
for the ?: will be clear when I post the top view, but it is shown on the refs that it should be this way. (EDIT:http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship ... stliso.jpg)
and one thing.... railing on stealth ship???
and what exactly is wrong with the lines of the bow?

but well.... thanks for the intel on the CIWS :D at least one of the many questions for this ship solved .....

Currently, even the latest US ships (San Antonio LPD, DDG 110, ect) carries many Life-rafts
If you want, you can add some "stealthy-door" for life-rafts

YES, because your ship carry more than 5000 sailors onboard, with aircrafts movements, ect.... For a such large crew, security is a primary. And even today on the latest US carriers (CVN 77/78), these large ships carries railing

ok, will put liferafts over there, flight deck railing will be added( but not until detailing stage)
but what is wrong with the lines of the wave piercing bow?

For one, the fact that it isn't a wavepiercing bow. It's a bulbous bow, and they work rather differently.
