Fantastic work.

Technically a never-were, but they were in construction so technically were 'real' ships and had been launched. The line between how much an unfinished ship classifies as one or the other s grey, but at least one did make it. Never-were would probably be the best place for this though.

Here is how I feel Normandie tentatively would have looked completed in 1916-1917. Note that the two side by side rangefinders atop the conning tower have been replaced by a Triplex Barr and Stoud rangefinder. Her main battery guns, turrets and barbettes are now also black as per the current French color scheme.

PS: Ops, :oops: David, you need to darkened the 138mm guns-casemates same as "Bretagne 1915" :D :oops:

Lovely work David, they were not the prettiest French battleship, but they would certainly have been effective.

Mike. I will darken the casemate guns. I thought it was odd that you hadn't suggested it earlier.
