Very nice work, not necessarily ugly ships but very functional looking ones.
In terms of armament layout though she was a generation behind when you compare to QE, Ise or the American 14in and 16in series, despite her powerful main battery.

Our nest installment is Normandie following a 1917-1919 design study:

Very nice work, but shouldn't she have the red underwater hull by this time? I noticed a previous drawing of Bretagne in 1921 had the red underwater portion, and this is supposed to be in 1922-1923. Just curious.

I'm not sure of the exact transition from green to red, but this is a 1917-1919 study expected to be complete in 1922-1923 so it might still be green. :geek:

i'm i the only one to think the shading of the keel is far too dark on those drawings?
To me it looks almost like a wide line...........

Here is the next installment of the Normandie-Class Saga: Bearn as depicted in the 1920-21 study regunned with a dual mount 400mm main battery atop the quad turret barbettes. Also note that the in hull torpedo tubes have been replaced with two triple deck mounted launchers.

could you stop using brown as under water hull shading, it's so wrong on so many level, that I am going crazy. use dark read, but not to dark as you do on very many of you'r drawing.

David,

it looks cool, though is this your artist concept or do you have a drawing as a source?

Edit: also are you going to draw the alternative 2X4+2X2 340mm gun arrangement version as well (shown in Warship International)?

Thanks,

Akos
