Post subject:  The Sea Venture: Cancelled Proposals

the "MS Sea Venture" was a 132 meter long Cruise ship designed by NAFSI Shipyards of Perama Greece for Anastasios "Taki/Tyki" Kyriakides the founder and former CEO of Regency Cruises for his new company "Sea Venture Cruises" and later on "Seawind Cruises" that would sadly never be completed, it was first built in 1978 for "ANEL" as a 110 meter Ro-Ro Car Ferry at Kamitsis Shipyards but would sadly never operate under this name as the ship would be Impounded due to extensive costs and the company would go bankrupt, after nearly 6 years of Layup she would be purchased by Sea Venture Cruises for Conversion, first cutting the ship in half and inserting a Section to lengthen the ship, and then rebuilding the entire bow, stern, and superstructure, though conversions would be ended and restarted for several years until a fire in 1994 destroyed the superstructure top and parts of the interior, ending any hope of the ship being completed (later to be sold for scrap in 2004 as "Noahs Ark")

Nice work and interesting looking ship, but the hull shading (especially near the stern) looks rather odd to me.

Thank you! and indeed the shading is strange but thats actually how it looks in my plans and the photos of the ship how it looked "abandoned" in the early 2000s, its probably a result of the stern being "widened" at the top but remaining as built as a ferry in 1979
