so to say, I liked this AU for working with real life radars and weaponnery, it's your choice of course, but I would return to your old gun.
also, you have again used the old NH-90 drawing.....

Could not find it yesterday and did not bother to look for it. I agree with you that the gun is probably a little big for the ship, going to try to draw a compact 76mm if I'm not going for reality!

I want to teach you something, and maby to the rest of us who doesnt know some stuff about weapons, stealth etc etc.

When you got a radar, you need a flat vertical ship on your enemy side to get 100% back of what for frequentie you send.
The ''stealth'' feature is, when you make a square box, it is 100% available to your enemies radar. Stealth means / \ sides.
Let me show it to you:
Attachment:
working of radar frequentie.png
You can also try to do it with a mirror.
As for a BAL, a round object.
That one goes everywhere, but one arrow goes back to the ship.
So always try to get the middle, or the below end of your stealth item more outward, then the above side.
This way the arrows go into the air, or make the below end shallower then the top side.
This way the arrows go down, but then you can not hide your antennas!

As for the weapons.
The experimental 76mm is false as you can see on the radar working sheet.
It has vertical ends on the side.
A 76mm does not need that space.
In an 76mm, you need at least 2 rocking arms, a trummble with 3 shells or more (Does not need many space, since its in the tower itself)
And one shell dispuser to blast it out of the turret when the next one is fired.

In other terms.
Rocking arms, are the arms that get the shell into the barrel, the shells are vertical. But the barrel horizontal.
So it graps the shell, put it horizontal and blasts it out.
Then it graps a new one.
The trumble is the Drum inside the tower, wich helds mostly 3 shells in an 76mm turret.
This way it can do a rapid fire of 3 shells within a few seconds. And then reload the drum.

I am not saying your 76mm is wrong. Its nice to have that space when you have to work in it.
But it also carry's disadventage's. Like weight, easy to see on enemy radar.
Plus more weight=need a bigger servo engine to get it faster in a 360 spin!

Greetz.

Mitch.

then I keep it as a experimental gun in a red box, and attach a normal double cannon next to it!

I tried to copy the Thales radar program.
But it is kinda ugly, to bad i am not allowed to show that program.
Such an awesome thing. It describes the work of all the radars and stuff.
What it does with rain, snow, etc etc.
But this everybody can find, especially with a miror.
Get yourself a room, plain dark.
Get a laser pen, and a miror.
And see yourself what happens!

Its not about specific radar's.
You can make your own, with different size, frequenty, if its a disk or a thing like smart-l or whatever.
And then the type of power you add to it, plus condition it is being used in, etc etc.
Nothing Classified about it.
It doesnt even show what the smart-l does or any other radar in the world. Exept if you manage to find the correct data, wich you cant!

WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP WIP

Battle class
Hevy cruiser

Length: 208m
Beam: 26,6m
draft: 11,7m (stability fins) to 8,5m (hull)
propulsion: Gas Turbine Engines 105 000hp
speed: 33 knots
Displacement:
crew: 250-400

Armarment:
Before the Battle of Northpole:
1*155mm Twin MK3
1*155mm singel MK3
2*singel 76 mm
2*triple torpedotubes
ASW
2*20mm
6*12,7mm HMG

Aircraft: 2+1 Helicopter

Built in response to the USSR's largest surface vessel at that time. The ship has an Moto as describes the ship's tasks and qualities: "Battle class, problem solver!"
It was built two of them. BC "NorthSea" of 2 fleet and BC "Arctic Ocean" of 4 fleet.
One of the most common strategies used by 2 and 4 fleet is to use the Battle class's 155mm guns at short range, to open the enemy's fleet. However, modern times require new tactics, so today it uses mainly its missiles.

Going to change the hangar. Stack is moved towards the center of the ship and redrawn. A lot of detail.

Are there any suggestions on radar.
[ img ]

just come with suggestions on the (AU) story of the ship, must be mainly before the Battle of North Pole. you can come up with proposals on the introduction to this battle. I've decided that BC "North Sea" will be extremely damaged in the fighting. But one finds that the hull is in good condition and that it is cheaper to rebuild the ship than build a new ship. Has not yet decided how it will look like, what kind of weapon and radars it will have.
