They are the first ever RAN warships to be built in Japan with both being constructed at Japan Marine United (JMU) in Kure, Hiroshima. Both ships were built with a double hull design in compliance with the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) requirement. Based on the JMSDF Mashu Class, they have been modified to suit RAN standards and requirements.

Drawing notes: The original design was drawn by pootisp6 and posted on Deviantart. I really loved the design and decided to use it as the basis for my Steadfast Class vessels. I have credited pootisp6 in accordance with Shipbucket rules.
