Manning Class Combat Diving Team Launch The Manning Class Combat Diving Team Launches are designed to operate as specialist vessels, they each carry equipment such as a mini recompression chamber, RHIB, dive platform and hauling winch. They are primarily used by the Australian Combat Diver Teams (AUSCDT) for mine clearance, demolitions, neutralising explosives, search/salvage operations and ships underwater maintenance. Although they are not commissioned vessels, they do fly the Australian White Ensign (AWE) and use the prefix ADV (Australian Defence Vessel) instead of HMAS (His Majesties Australian Ship). They are also deployable in overseas theatres when embarked on HMAS Gallipoli. Nice drawing! Very detailed for a boat of that size. Well done (I think that in your case is Bravo Zulu )! And is amazing for the size of the real boat a descompression chamber! May I ask why the pair of boats (which seems very capable, at least to me) are not comissioned in the Australian Navy? Thanks in advance for your answer and cheers. |
