We would of won the Falklands War in a week if she was not scraped.
I doubt it. The Brits had plenty fire support, what they needed were tactical transports (Went down with the Atlantic Conveyor) and AEW |

Interesting  A few points about the drawing. You are still showing old fashioned floats instead of the proper cannisters, and you've got a float cut in half in one place. For just the one Seawolf launcher you have a lot of directors. You have a cab on the helicopter hangar? But this is not situated where it could serve launch and retrieval. You have covered the compass platform, but not allowed enough room underneath for crew. Overall, I'm not convinced this would work; loosing half the main guns reduces its primary use as floating artillery, and it would make more sense to spot helicopters from other ships; but as a 'flight of fancy' it looks nice. |

Bombhead - love it - would love to see your version of it through the years - if it stayed in service. Portsmouth Bill - your probably right I will do a version with just a landing spot for Helicopters. It's true that it will always be in a BBBG. In terms of seawolf it has 3 launchers. Look up by the 1st funnel. How does SeaWolf and Exocet handle overpressure? They considered mounting SeaSparrow on the Iowa's, but the missile cannisters couldn't handle the blast wave from the guns. |

SeaWolf launchers are pretty sturdy (and really any enclosed launcher can handle overpressure pretty well) and Exocet is far enough away for it to not matter in the first place. |

Stan, I can see one Seawolf launcher, but I just can't find the other two - though you're showing on launched t'other side of the forard funnel. Also, you haven't addressed the too-low compass paltform covering, still one old float alongisde the bridge, and another concern, were you're palcing the ships boats and crane is too high, they need to go down by at least one deck
