Nice stuff. I'm clad to see less details than some of your earlier drawings. Too much of everything is always too much..

Your screws needs some work. What you've drawn is essentially an aircraft prop, and that doesn't work under water.

Level of details if that what you mean always should be as accurate but yet in the limits of the shipbucket scale. With real ships we should always drawn everything that can be drawn. With AU and own designs and often with never-where ships the thing is bit trickier as we have to come up what is there. That may often end up stuffing too much stuff just to fill up the blank space. Many times the "stuff" doesen't make any sense. But blank can be beatifull...I usually just stuff only the very neccerical stuff nowadays.

Nope the same as the building papers of the navy

Be that as it may, but the fact of the matter is that that type of prop simply doesn't work on ships. The metallurgy required to make such a prop in bronze or brass didn't exist back then, indeed, it doesn't exist today.
Most likely, the screws in your source materiel is just there to show were the screws go. For the actual screws, there's probably a second drawing somewhere showing how they actually looked.
Just like how you sometimes find spheres with a stick poking out of it representing a gun. It doesn't represent any specific gun, it just shows approximately how much space has been set aside for it.

That is a very good point, but unless he has other drawings that show him what kind of prop it has, he cant change it.

Pick one from a ship of similar size and age. It's an AU, even if it's based on never build designs.
