I just have a little question.Who are the Maddelenan?I searched the whole thread and I couldn't find more details about them XD
You won't find anything more on it at this stage other than mentions in recent ships. I'm currently working on all the background details but basically it is another island nation in the Indian Ocean that serves as the chief opponent of Recherche in the 1941-44 time period.

I think that the cruisers may have pole masts, before the installation of radar, especially in 1936. Tripod masts were introduced as WW2 continued and radar was carried.
The ships are related to the British Towns in design and role, so I based many aspects on those ships. Did the Towns have pole masts at all? Or did they commission with the tripod masts? I've only been able to find pictures of them with tripods but that doesn't necessarily prove anything so if you have more information please share :)

You are quite right in that the Town class had tripod masts as commissioned. It was a novel idea in 1936, intended to give structural strength to the masts, without having cumbersome stays and lines which will be in the way of AA gunnery. So I stand corrected !!

That's an interesting point you make though, when I get time I might see about having pole masts for the first few ships of the class - thanks!

Hey, Rowdy, can you make an export of the Norseman?

Very nice rework indeed Rowdy, with one point of critisism. If you're using standard British 6 inch turrets, you'd be better off using these:

[ img ] as posted in the British Parts Sheets thread. The old turret design had the face plate of the turret at far too acute an angle, and the rests for the barrels were located too low.

Roger, thanks for the link - I'll update when I get a chance to.

EDIT: Updated now
