Thanks Hood.

Side-by-side twin internal pressure hulls?
To be honest, I'm not sure but it could be something like this:

Might be enough to Finnish gulf where the average depth is 34m?

for the Finnish gulf it is good enough, isn't so deep, so no need to have the capability to go deep. but you might want to design in some sorts of rails/skies on it, I bet it will use most of it time at laying on the bottom, for then more to a new location.

what about water-inflated balloons, it protect the hull toward the bottom and at the same time weight here down when she is on the bottom.

On the other hand most older Swedish submarines had maximum depth of 150m, so this would be your depth limit for Baltic.

Yes, you're right heuhen. Water-inflated balloons is an interesting idea but I follow SMX-26 concept design here with wheels. There may occur slight movement so therefore wheels.

I hope this could dive to 150m with this pressure hull solution... :?:

I think a double-bubble section is more likely, something like this:

Easier to build (constant-curvature rolled sections), stronger for its weight, more efficient distribution of volume.

Baltic have some really deep places (for such sea of course) but overall it's average is 55 to 60 meters. That would be a coastal sub rather, so 150m would be more then enough for Finland and Riga gulf. Not enough for some deeps of Bothnia but you don't need to send such small sub to that deep water.

Overall, very fine design.

Very nice!
I just have a feeling that I saw something bit similar before?... ;)

Thanks eswube. Yeah, that's definitely an ancestor of it :)
