Well, yes. Granted, the only data I've got to hand scales as far as the largest RN sets at 150,000SHP on something the same dimensions as these and with nothing to go off of plans wise seeing as all the other RN ships featured smaller lighter plants.

I'm not adverse to the hull having more than the installed 150,000SHP, I just don't have the knowledge to know how far I could push the machinery before running into issues.

All 4 of them look very nice ships, I like them as they are sufficiently different but still have a RN/USN style and the paint looks good.

Comparing Ealga to a KVG (Howe)
Roughly same size 37.9 v 39kt
One less 14" gun
1.7 Kn faster
Significantly more protection 1" on deck and how big are the 12"/10" none citadel belts ?
Fits 20kSHP more in roughly same length between main gun mounts.

Yes, they should work given that they're based off of existing RN design work, I'm not just pulling the figures out of thin air.

As a zeroth-order approximation, I'd take whatever the B-to-Y barbette separation is on Iowa and call that ~200kshp.

Right, tweaked slightly to bring things closer to spec.

IMO, given that 16G was schemed to achieve 31 knots on 150,000SHP and similar dimensions and weights I don't see any reason for these to not make a knot more on ~200,000SHP.

That's a couple of meaty looking battleship classes. Attractive but bullish, how a good battleship should look. Specs for both classes look ok to me.

Below is the stats listed on Wiki for Vanguard.

HMS Vanguard.
Installed power: 130,000 shp (97,000 kW)
Propulsion: 4 shafts
4 Parsons steam turbine sets
8 Admiralty 3-drum water-tube boilers
Speed: 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph)

150k may get you to 31, while 200+k would get you to the 33-34 knot range.
One thing the Vanguard had over the Iowas was a more weatherly and sea kindly hull. So as long as you have kept to the Vanguard hull type ( :) ) your ship will be fine.

USS Iowa.
Installed power: 212,000 shp (158,000 kW)
8 water-tube boilers
Propulsion: 4 screws;
General Electric geared steam turbines
Speed: 32.5 knots (60.2 km/h; 37.4 mph) (Up to 35.2 knots (65.2 km/h; 40.5 mph) on light load.)

I'd forgotten to finish the small SSNs, time to remedy that.

Designed at the tail end of the Cold War to hunt down and kill Russian SSNs and targets of opportunity in the Norwegian and Barents Sea they are much smaller and as a result less habitable than the Agasaya class that succeeds them in some respects, despite their inferior weapons load and cramped accommodation they are well regarded by their crews as hot-rods capable of quite an impressive turn of speed.
Four 660mm tubes usually lined to 533mm with a total of 20 weapons. They lack the space for SF operations other than occasional SIGINT and other EW tasks.

I've also fixed a few little errors here and there on the other nuke boats.

At some point I'll get around to properly re-arranging things in a new thread but until then, new stuff will appear here.
