The Krechtal AU will come in the future... this topic evolves to an brainstorming topic for a new, small AU nation...

Hi everybody... after some last work I decided to show you the start of my fist AU. Please tell me if you think that something is wrong or unrealistic because I'm not sure about some facts or numbers .
If you don't like somethink please criticize it in a helpfull way...
But let's start:

Origin of the name:
The name was first mentioned in the year 780AD, it has a Germanic origin. The first villages were found in a rocky valley which mainly influenced the name. During the time the name was formed into the today known name: Krechtal (the word “crash” is also related to this fact).

General information

History:
EDIT:the backstrory seems to be so bad that people become toothache while reading it so no backstory at all...

modern conflicts the KSK participated in:
• 2003: 3rd Gulf war: Krechtal was not fully involved but support NATO forces togethter with other NEEMC members mainly with air support and logistical support
• 2006-2014: Afghanistan: Krechtal supports ISAF troops and provide a own military camp, Krechtal also provides logistical support for other countries with their Globemaster III
• 2009: after a big cargo vessel was kidnapped by pirates the krechtalian Navy starts to escort civil ships arround africa, some SF missions and aerial attaks in cooperation with the countries in africa follow
• 2011: Lybia: Krechtal is not fully involved but provides aerial and logistical support
• 2014: Ukraine: Krechtal supports the regular armed forces with medical support
• 2014/14: Krechtal supports other NATO and NEEMC members in the fight against the IS; mainly with air support and again logistical support with theri Globemaster III, also weapons were deivered to the pro NATO forces, an operation of the ground forces isn't planned yet
• Krechtal participates in several training missions, mainly in africa

Hi all
Lets start with the first "new" ship...
Its basicly the MPV 11 in an armed version:

multipurpose patrol vessel MPV 12


It can be used for mine laying and counter mine missions. It's welldeck provides enough space for the equipment and the mines. The equipment is moved with a portal crane, the mines are storred on special rails and can be deployed directly from them.

The first ship was delivered in 2009, the second ship was exported to the GDR in late 2010. A second ship for the KM will follow in 2016.

The unarmed verion MPV 11 is also available for export.

I really like the ships,
but back story wise how does Work ? I would have thorough that,
A) USSR/Germany can fight each other as OTL (with Krechtal as a neutral peninsular in the Baltic) this way land forces can attack each way east then west as OTL with minimal interference with Krechtal ?
or B) Krechtal is in the way between USSR/Germany in that case it may let Germany (or be forced) to go east but then what the Red army will not just ask nicely to go west and any none communist county that lets it roll west will not remain so for long afterwards ?

Why would 1947 USSR capitulate ? without US/GB/etc allies it will roll over any other state ? (with allies its WW3 and post 47 cold war is very different)

I think case b would be realistic, I originally think about such a scenario but you put in in better words...
Yep and you are right it will need partners to fight against the USSR, I think GB would be a good choice...maybe also some ther AU nations could be involved, but I don't know whether another AU history would fit...?

For the capitulation I think about 2 points:
1st) ok, I know it's not very USSR like but maybe the country gets tired of war? If we fight along with GB thats not realistic, because that would rise the conflicht in the cold war...
2nd) The USSR is forced to capitulate because they lose a lot of naval power in the baltic see and other GB/ NEEMC (e.g. finnland?) territory and to provide that the agree a capitulation, give Krechtal the control about the future GDR and get it's naval control back...

hope you understand what I mean

After BBs explanation case b) would partly include case a) because operation babarossa would happen like in the real life and case b) would take place after germanys capitulation...

I also think about a different timeline:
-1945: OTL: WWII in europe ends with the capitulation of germany
-OTL: germany was slivered into the different parts
-case b): USSR want to pass krechtalian territory without asking for permission
-> Krechtalian armed forces stop russain soldiers near the border (in krechtalian territory) because they act like war
- the USA/ GB want to support Krechtal because the relationship to the USSR is not the best (like in OTL)
-the USSR was stopped to move forward into krechtalian territory (that had to be hard because of the manpower of the USSR)
-Krechtal and it supporters could stop the russians more easy on the water because they had the better technology (mainly because of german and allied development during WWII, OTL)
-Russia and the western countries had an agreement that russia gain the control of the east german sector and it's naval territorys, it's also allowed to move a limited number of soldiers and military equip into the future GDR, by way of reciprocation Krechtal gain it's territory back and GB/USA gain the control of western Berlin

-1948 russian blockade of west berlin and a border conflict between the future GDR and west germany brings the political difference to a head
-1949 the GDR was found
-1952-53 another conflict between the USSR and Krechtal (NEEMC)/ the western allies (USA/GB) was started after west germany start to move into GDR territory as repayment for 1948 (the USA/ GB were not informed aboutt that)...the conflict was endet by the death of Stalin and another government in the USSR... the control of the GDR was given to Krechtal because the USSR want to improve their internal stability first...the GDR gain access to the northern sea as a result of the conflict started by west germany
-1955 the GDR is no longer under krechtalian control but it's economical supported
-1956 the GDR becomes a part of the NEEMC and cooperates with the NATO and the "western world"

That is what I came up with after giving my ideas about JSB comment a structure... please forgive me my spelling mistakes, it'slate after a long day :-/

Hope you will forgive my questions...

My problem is understanding why USSR wins (by invading Germany) and then cant transit to Germany ?

If by 45 the Red Army has go to Berlin then they have already overrun east Germany and anything they need to get to east Germany from USSR, if they have overrun Krechtal as its in the way and nominally supports Germany (or at least lest them through) then how does keep the red army from imposing a communist regime ?

I think the only option that lest them stay neutral is if they are out of the firing line to the north (ie like Sweden) or out of the main line of advance and can be bypassed and cut out with a early treaty ? (Finland)

I thought about this:
The invasion of Germany by the USA/ GB forced it to capitulate. Like in the OTL germany is slivered into 4 parts for the 4 main war winners: GB, USA, France and the USSR. Different from the OTL the USSR didn't fight alot on german ground because the war end before they can sorround Krechtal. Only some naval infantry came from the north and were involved in the war... The USSR want to be faster with their main army so they decide to pas Krechtals territory...

The main problem is that Krechtal shouldn't become a socialistic regime... That also would be difficult because Krechtal have the support of the USA/ GB who eant a non socialistic state too.
From the geografic situation you can say that Krechtal isn't complete in tje USSRs way, but I can't move it mote north because then the baltic sea is in the way :-p
