Painter, he means the line from the RHIB hanging along the side of the ship
The ship, to me, feels a bit top heavy and wet due to the short hull

just a simple rope with no special function than just hang to the bow of the RHIB at a fixed length, to make it easier to catch the RHIB. no need for someone to control it, when it's not in use, it just hang on the crane.

although, when I think about, there could have been a small hatch above waterline with a line, that the RHIB crew can hatch on to.

might feel like, although the mast is quit lightweight and only provide weather protection to a standard Phased rotating 3D radar, heaviest up there would be the phased illuminator and the 35mm gun... most of its size is for in turret magazine. big portion of the composite superstructure goes to Hangar/RHIB/torpedo/funnel.

the center of gravity should be low... but not perfect low, so trim tanks have to be actively used, when operating in open sea at "quite interesting" weather...

Hi, Heuhen. Very interesting design and as ever, very well done. On question (from my lack on precise knowledge of the matter): Cheap and guieded weapon seems almost a contradiction, specially for AAW. Can you talk a little more about this system? Thanks and cheers.

Helicopter deck for Heavy helicopter

Random text:

Admiral Kruz class was original designed to operate either alone or escorting a carrier, but most of the time it had two ASW destroyers with it.

The class got it opportunity to show it's firepower during Vietnam war, when screening a US-force both at sea and on land and at some time provided artillery fire, at one ocasion HMCS R.Adm. Petter the 5th under command of Commander Juliuse "Bad Banana" Smerner went so close to shore, to give artillery support, that the ship was hit several time, by small arms fire. other than that, they didn't see much action, Caledonia didn't relay want to be involved (officially), but unofficially was willingly go in to support in a emergency, due to this, more than 1500 Caledonia comandos have been in Vietnam on rescue missions

In the 70's the long term program to refurbish these two giants in to a new role started. There New role was to operate together with Caledonia Missile cruisers. This Cruiser force consisting of 2 missile cruiser and 1 heavy cruiser with destroyer/frigate-escort and occasionally with a escort-carrier was nicked: "The admirals fist"

The 1982 refit was mostly a maintenance to machinery and systems. it included also upgrade of electronics to modern fleet standard. Main guns received an upgrade and change of equipment due to it often being used for testing out new shells for future 155 mm ships guns.

It last periode of it carrier was used to go on cruises and form/train future officers

Heuhen has obviously had too many Christmas treats! :D

It looks pretty cool, plenty of weapons and radars, but its well drawn and the pink deck is very fetching.

I do believe that it is only a heavy cruiser in name, Battlecruiser or Pocket Battleship would be closer I think LOL
