Hi, Odysseus!, Nice ships in nice liverys! If there is one vessel named for Erasthostenes, may I suggest Democritus? Or maybe he will be better for the future SSN ;) ! Cheers.
Eratosthenes was also a geographer. In real world, Hellenic Navy names the maritime research ships about ancient geographers or explorers, so there is HS Strabo, HS Pytheas, while HS Nautilus is named by a cephalopod.

Hellenic Coast Guard was established in 1919, when the older Harbour Corps merged with the Anti-smuggling Command of Hellenic Navy. All vessels of latter were transferred to Hellenic Coast Guard, while new vessels entered also service. These were the HCG 01 Class and the HCG 10 Class, each group of 10 vessels. Both were ex British Hunt Class Minesweepers of WW1, of Belvoir and Aberdare Group respectively, bought in barely scrap price in 1919-1920. Modifications were new oil fired boilers, armament was one 6-pdr Hotchkiss and a QF 1-pounder pom pom gun. In 1939-1940 latter was replaced with a single 20mm/L65 Y1935 Naval Mount (lisenced built German 20mm Flak 30 modified with domestic designed drum magazines of 60, 75 rounds). All vessels remaining from WW2 were decommissioned until 1950.

Based on the Italian Zara Class gunboat designed for Guardia di Finanza, the OPV 100 class was created for Hellenic Coast Guard. Eight ships were built for Hellenic Coast Guard in 1980's. Differences with Zara are the heavier armament (one Bofors 57mm and twin Medusa RWS with DEFA 30mm cannon plus two positions for 0.5" Browning M2) and propulsion (3 x MTU 20V538TB91) giving 36 knots speed. Externally the OPV 100 would have three side by side exhausts instead of two.

Electronics are fairly simple, an Arrow Mk2 Gun FCS with IR camera and laser range measurement device plus twin navigation radars, of which the upper has longer range from the lower.

All are named from small islands of Aegean Sea and pennant numbers are from ΑΦ 101 to 108.

The later variant of the OPV 100 class, also reffered as OPV 110 class, are very similar to Italian Denaro Class, built from late 1990's to early 2000's. Electronics are FCS Arrow Mk3 and newer radars, while propulsion is now 4 x MTU 16V396, identical with Denaro class. RHIB position is also a bit different from early vessels. Again eight units were built, with pennant numbers ΑΦ 111 to 118.
