MS Antonia Graza from the 2002 film "ghost ship"

Post by Thesketchydude13 »

I'd really live to do a Rotted out version but...pretty sure thats overly frowned upon even if 90% of the film its seen in that state

Image

two days of work and half a month of research and scowering the film and trying to find every little detail, fun fact...the "plans" seen briefly in the film use a cut and pasted version of the Queen Mary's lowest decks for just above and below the waterline, so even if the plans still existed...they probably are rather "off"

Very nice work, looks quite a nice little design and your research has paid off well given the quality of the drawing.

Thank you both!, I have to agree with you hood, as I personally honestly prefer it to the ship it was based on, the andrea doria (as it seems less...Top heavy, by comparison)

That is actually a 'no-no' for this board.

Nice job on a tricky subject, if you're ever looking for more fictional ocean liners, there's a blog called 'Model Ships In the Cinema' that has a few of the more obscure ones, including the model used for a 1953 Titanic movie that after being given a 'funnelectomy' (Four stovepipes replaced with three 'Queen Mary' style funnels.) went on to appear in three other films that year, one of which was 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'.
