Aerolineas Españolas Regionales (AER) 717

History: This plane was operated by the North American airline Delta Air Lines, it was purchased by it in 1999, being one of the first models, thus covering many routes, and gaining kilometers. But on the other side of the Atlantic, better said in Spain, a Regional airline with a very old fleet was looking for a new plane, a perfect plane for regional flights. In 2003 Delta retired that Boeing 717. The airline AER had recently entered the Staralliance, upon seeing the offer of the Boeing 717 the executives quickly bought it, that plane was a modern plane for the time and for regional use, that's why the airline decided trust 3 Exemplars. After the purchase, instead of painting them with the original livery, he made an agreement with Staralliance and did what many airlines were doing, which was to paint the 717 with the STARALLIANCE livery and that is how the modern era began.

In 2004, the entire fleet was put into service, with First Class and Coach Class configuration. AER also had its first international route with the Boeing 717, Madrid - London Heathrow, but the majority of use they gave to this aircraft was the use regional, routes such as Barcelona - Madrid, Alicante - Seville, Gerona - Toledo and Torrejon de Ardoz - Bilbao. None of these airplanes had an accident during their career. Finally, on May 19, 2013, AER retired all of its 717s.

Nice drawing, Polar! Welcome to the Bucket! Cheers.

PS: Only one remark: your name in the credits must be last, in that way, we will know who is the artist of the actual drawing.
