One hull design, many boat types.

cheap design, developed on hull type that has the potential to be used on many different of navy vessels.

OH GOD sorry to say but IMO that aegis mast is ugly as hell. on a ship this size, you can just put the AEGIS arrays on the structure like on the US ships, watch out that they aren't placed too high. also, the funnel you have now might not be enough for an ship with this displacement.

yes I came to the same conclusion. can you make a few quick lines on the drawing so I can see a little better what you mean/thinking.

this was what I had in mind for another ship some time ago.... just an example, please don't copy it directly, but draw your own (similar) version of it.
of course the bridge could be placed above the SPY-1 like on the kongo/burke

Aside from looking hideous, I'm not sure that it's even possible to place the SPY-1 faces that far from each other.

It might be possible. the biggest issue is going to be the cable run lengths - and oh yeah back end duplication and the associated weight and volume penalties.

Ticos have two entirely distinct SPY-1 blocks for that reason - I suspect cable runs would be so bad as to be unfeasible.

I don't see why the arrays could not be this separate, at least in principle. Handoffs between arrays would force some additional systems engineering efforts, particularly for dealing with close-in targets. And ship flex would slow the handoff even with the best of efforts. But it ought to be possible. I'd prefer a solution more like Nansen, though.

I think you're very short on uptakes unless she's CODAD.

Why are yourse so weird? It makes no sense that they are this way...
Can you show me where you got them from? (Wanna know wich country it has)
He has them showing angles of fire as well as how far out the barrels of the guns can be.
