The Yamato-class (大和型 Yamato-gata) was a class of battleships of the Imperial Japanese Navy built and operational during World War II and the 1950s through 1990s. With a displacement of 75,800 tons at full load, ships of this class have been the largest displacement and most heavily armored battleships ever built. In addition, they carried the heaviest naval artillery pieces in history: nine 460mm guns, each capable of firing 1,360kg shells. 42 kilometers away. At the end of the Second World War and with a very reduced participation and mainly as AA support ships for the escort of aircraft carriers, Imperial Japan decided to opt for modernizing these battleships and turning them into mobile artillery pieces and command ships, but until 1990 they were He opted to gun it with medium-range missiles in launch tubes on the sides of it, even its electronic part was extensively modernized, although it was not a main combat ship like the destroyers or cruisers of the Japanese Navy, it still had a role that no other ship in the navy came to match, support for ground troops through undetectable and non-interceptable artillery discharges, have been the mainstay for the new RailGun-type weapons.

Awesome work, but I see a 1990s Yamato as more of a 1990s Iowa. I don't think she would've mounted a Russian-style missile system; probably would've been more along the lines of how the USN refitted the Iowas given the friendly relations between the U.S. and Japan during the 1980s-1990s. Love the railgun secondaries, though!

All in all, very nice work!

I have a few remarks about the addition of lattice masts on the postwar units. They share the same issue of the Yamato refit that appeared on Man in the High Castle on which you might have inspired from.
The two main rangefiners are 15m (forward) and 10m (aft) pieces, so they need at least a bit of clearence over that in order to properly rotate around, and at the moment neither your forward and aft one can do that, the aft set has even more equipment in the way than just the mast.

Here is an example, a Cruiser form my AU. Not a Battleship but still a valid example I think. The rangefinders are 10m ones, see how distanced the masts are from them?

I also suspect the aft rack of life rafts might get melted the moment one of the missiles is fired.
