These are really beautiful.
Less like the floating tower blocks and much more elegant than many cruise ships today.

I think the black hull helps too, like the QM2, the black hull I think breaks up the side area and makes it look less slab-sided than all-white cruiser ships.

Your second version, in my humble opinion, actually looks more balanced now, with the removal of the panoramic window row on the front face. This one is a keeper!
