Additions/Changes:

-Added whaleboats and motorboats
-Updated gun directors
-Added air-search radar
-Removed on torpedo launcher and brought a turret down one level.
-A few minor touch ups

I'd say you've definitely mastered the style!

I can't really comment on the drawing as I don't know much about the Jap navy but my only suggestion would be to color the propellers in a darker bronze color to match the rest of the ship.

Also I've seen that you've actually drew some Japanese destroyers. I have many shipbucket drawings saved on my PC that I use for reference and such.

I drew the Shimakaze a long time ago (I think it was probably 2009 or so) and it's probably inaccurate and badly outdated and in need of a retouch (if it hasn't happened already). I remember tracing it directly from a few drawings and not using any photo references because I couldn't find any.

I would definitely look to BB1987, maomatic, Garlicdesign, etc for style advice on drawing ships these days.

I actually have a marvelous linedrawing for the Shimakaze (including a top-down view) that appears to be quite accurate if compared to the few pictures available of her. I had contemplated for along time about uptading or redrawing the original, but I've constantly forgot about asking Colo about it.
