Here is USS Constellation (CC-2) (1944)
Note the torpedo bulge and the additional Bofors atop turret two and the chart house.

Here is USS Saratoga (CC-3) (1944)

She lacks the torpedo bulge but retains the additional Bofors.

Looks cool.
You are in the mood for some more modifications? That's just a suggestion, but it might be interesting to see Constellation undergoing a more thorough modernization. While in drydock for the addition of the torpdedo bulges it would have been possible to further update the fire-control syste, maybe removing the forward lattice mast replacing it with a tower-like structure similar to that of the NC/SoDak/Iowas or some of the Battleships rrefitted after pearl harbor.
You obviously don't need to do it if you not feel eager to :). I'd try to seal off most of the hull portholes by 1944 anyway.

This is pretty much a WIP. I've used the fore-tower top from Ian's USS Washington and the funnel cap from USS Iowa.

The fully modernised USS United States looks particularly fine.

Yeah it's looking really good!

I can't help but think that the USN would find a way to shove more 5"/38s into this design though. Also you are using an older version of the gun mount which is too large for the scale (probably contributing to fit difficulties...)

Here is the USS Constitution refit in 1934 with tripod masts like those on the refited Pennsylvania-Class battleships.
