A long time ago I drew (freehand) a concept of a ship based on the US Perry class frigates, but half the size. Here's an update.

I'd find it hard to believe that VLS would be fitted to this ship, even if it's just self-defense-length. If nothing else, if this is around the same time as the Perry, or basically an AU, even cheaper version of a Perry, it wouldn't have been around yet. I'd go with the older Mk 48, or even a box launcher.

Still, it basically keeps with the spirit of the Perry, except like erik_t said, the big bonus of the Perry was its spacious hangar.

I would imagine that the crew would be rather small on this ship, and I'd find it hard to believe it could do much past 20 knots (meaning it would almost strictly be an oceanic escort - while it would still be useful as a patrol vessel, it would have to rely almost exclusively on its helicopters to go after go-fast boats and the like).

On the other hand, it is rather lacking in much of an electronic suite, and I'd imagine it doesn't have much use for a C&C center (once again, lack of electronics suite = little point) so I guess it's not much of a problem.

The WM20 series 'egg' has two antennas, one of which can function as a missile guidance channel.

I've penciled vertical-view line drawings of frigates like the Oliver Hazard Perry class.

This one is about 115m long? You're probably right. About half the displacement of the Perry class. A ship that small would beat the crew into submission on the high seas. Corvettes were used by the Canadians before the Buckley class destroyer escort was built. And they deliberately had large crews for the off-duty members to rest.
(I have the Wikipedia link in mind, but since the Buckley escort was an existing design, if you interested, GOOGLize "buckley escort wiki" for a description.

My opinion, the ship you designed is a good one, but the length should be 400+ ft, and the displacement 3500t (say, 3800 short tons) to be comfortable for the crew to sail in.

Since when do they design ships for the comfort of the crew?

That aside, during a cruise with the Standing NATO Force the Doyle and its Spanish sister stayed out during a storm off Scotland. There were some ships about this escort's size assigned, but they stayed in port.
Not that we were any kind of combat effective. We had trouble staying in our racks.
