If someone wants to do a cutaway and does not want to/cannot draw parts for whatever reason cannot do one.

I do think this is a pretty good idea, but not as an update for all parts sheets. Rather as a stand-alone thread.

That being said this is pretty helpful. I had no idea how much deck penetration that big 8' US gun actually had, it is a lot less than I had expected.

well, keep some things in mind:
the 8in has only the foot and magazine draw. the entire gun still has to be integrate into the ships structure, but these are parts that can have different shapes. example? the spruance had the following setup in the bow (as corrected by Erik_T)

whooops my mistake! hell, thought there would be more free space on an spruance, how on earth have they fitted that on the USS Hull :O
