The Indonesians have seriously upgraded the firepower on Oswald Siahaan, one of their Van Speijk class friages:

What did they do you ask? The replaced the hanger with a set of four P-800 Yakhont missiles.

I can't tell if they are keeping the MANPADs or not.

Very impressive, if a little crazy perhaps ;-) Did you also see ALVAMA's drawings of the refitted OSWALD SIAHAAN? I'm sure he's happy to see these pics as well. By the way, the vessel on the picture seems to be pennant number 356 (K.R.I. KAREL SATSUITUBUN), so it seems the Indonesians are already refitting a second vessel with the Yakhont.

Impressive, and answers my earlier question to Alvama. But this missile has a 120 - 300km range, so how do they propose to guide it?

Thank-you very much!! Yeas the second ship has been fitted now. and the third and fourth will follow in Juny/July ''as'' I heard ''and'' understand.
Also Interesting to see they modified the hangar also on a other way. it's highter then the one I did, so Bill that is might a answer on your question dealing ''will they fitt '' well Now it seems a bit more realistic! :)
Tomorrow I'll draw it!

That is a hardy one. But i quess the missile can guide itself (like a harpoon) Ofc with waypoints.?
What i also noticed, is the constant turn off from the DA. This wrecks the internal transmitter system... Why the heck do they do that? Or whas the video edited with before and after shots?

If that is the bridge from the VS class ship, then it is still very neat. I thought indonesia rusted their ships till death?
