The appendix contains sketches for multiple unbuilt Canadian warship designs from the late 1950s to the mid 60s, including General Purpose Frigate, DDG designs, Helicopter carrying destroyers (referred to as Heliporters), and also mentions attempts to acquire Iwo-Jima class's LPHs and an Essex class CVA.

Neat find.

It's interesting to see what was thought to be achievable for a DDH back then. Eight Sea Kings on 7400 tons!?

The author of the paper points out that as DG Ships was very inexperienced, there designs may not have always been realistic.

This is a most interesting thesis, I stumbled on this a few years back.
I have the ship plans saved in a zip file. I had planned a SB series but its not likely to see fruition for some time yet.
