The Pola Class Protected Cruiser was considered as Uavidein's newest asset to the Uavideinian navy in the early 1900s. Initially, only one was built but three more that were ordered were put on hold due to the First Continental War between Rubia and Uavidein after the 1908 scandal that occurred between Rubian colonies in the continent of Gracemeria and Uavidein, with which Uavidein sold a handful of weapons and equipments to the Revolutionist in hopes to gain their potential allies abroad.

After the continental war, the order of three units that were put on hold was resumed, with the second and third ships, UNS Naples and UNS Zara, built in South Uavidein Naval Arsenals and the fourth unit, currently unnamed, was planned to be built in Mann Co. Naval Arsenals up north, but was never materialised and, thus, was never laid down.

Due to the nature of the country's geopolitics and location, Uavidein remained partially neutral, and thus, not giving the Pola Class Protected Cruisers a chance to fight in the Liberation of Gracemeria.

All three ships continued to serve the Uavidein navy in a rather uneventful journey, mostly just conducting trade route patrols, fleet trainings, and ViP escort. They never fired a shot against a surface ship in anger.

Out of three, only one was briefly preserved by the Uavidein Maritime Museum until the advent of WW2, which forced the government to scrap her for steel. Today, only a single battery of 6-inch gun from her was preserved to this day
