Hi heuhen,
I had some questions about the Dreadnought turrets on the parts sheets, which are as follows:
1) On the parts sheets, the back plates seems to be canted inwards. However, all sources I have found on Dreadnought (as well as the King Edward VII class, where these turrets originated) show that the back of the turrets on Dreadnought are vertical and flat, with the side plate running flat from the middle of the turret to the back of the turret. The mounting on the parts sheet looks more like the turrets on the Invincible class BC, which (while mounting the same Mk X rifles) does have a turret which comes to a point at the back.

2) The barbettes on Dreadnought are of a larger diameter than the outside of the turret, and as a result the armored cylinder juts out from under the turret, as seen here:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... n17494.jpg
This is not reflected in the turrets on the parts sheet.

1. yeah I had a look around this morning, it appear that I have wrong picture of here when I did those turrets. But at the same time did them correct. But it is so long time ago I drew them... and almost all turrets over 9" on that part sheet did I redraw (and I drew them at the same time... so confusion can have been there)

2. I did know there was a different between those two turrets, I just didn't remember what I found back them.

Just remember to post the updated turret in the RN part sheet topic so "Hood" can update the sheet.

Welcome aboard.

That's excellent progress so far. I look forward to see how she turns out.
Feel free to make whatever mods you wish to the turret, the parts sheet is a guide but by no means a definitive list of all turrets fitted to all ships. As heuhen says, let me have the blank copy and I'll add it to the next sheet update.

bezobrazov: Thanks for the boats, they will certainly come in handy.
Hood and heuhen: Thanks for the advice about the turrets, I'll be sure to send them to you once the drawing is completed.

I'm a big fan of this ship! Looking forward to seeing your drawing develop.

...however, skip the torpedoes! Look at our other capital ship drawings, and you'll not see them, so theybshould really go, since the "Big D" wasn't a torpedo-boat or destroyer! Otherwise appearing to make smashing progress. Keep up the jolly good work and carry on!
