I haven't been around for a while, and I'm interested in getting into making drawings. The style topic didn't answer the underlying question I had - to make drawings, and what program to make them on.

Any pixel based program that lets you disable anti aliasing.
MS Paint, Paint.Net, Photoshop and so on all work

I personally use GIMP. Free download, more advanced than MS Paint but really easy to use and learn.

Photoshop is pretty good for making drawings.
I recommend it.
