Nice work, TristanAlting!
Comrades, can you plz tell me, is it suitable to arm such CA with turrets that have 4 5" universal guns each? Cuz I plan to do such a madness with this one)

You're asking about a gun house with four 5" guns in each gun house?

I guess it would be technically possible, but I don't really see the reasoning behind concentrating that many guns in a single gun mount. Worldwide practice seems to show that 2-gun mounts are the "sweet spot" (excepting, of course, battleship main battery turrets, but their design follows a different track...)

@TristanAlting: you definitely need to move the entire funnel structure forward to be flush with the forward superstructure. I would look at some of the inboard profile views in that PDF I linked to you to see how the machinery is arranged in a Cleveland class cruiser to understand why the uptakes/funnels are where they are.

As always careful research trumps "rule of cool".

Ya, thanks.

It's looking alot better with the funnels moved forward, if I do say so myself :D

Also did anyone notice the armor belt?

What is all the rigging you've created?

War experience results in most of the long antenna and telephone lines running forward to the bow or aft to the stern being deleted as they'd be shot away by anti-aircraft guns during AA action. By 1943 at most you'd see some antenna rigging wires running between the masts and nothing running forward of the pilot house. Add a few backstays to keep the masts steady in high winds and you're good. There are still no signal halyards or flag bins on your ship.

The funnels need to be separated with more space. There is currently not enough room between them to fit the engine room.

Much better ;) . You need to refine some details (for example, the funnels are somewhat close), but this is a clear advance in relation to your first design. Cheers.

I realize this is a tiny detail to pick at, but it's been annoying me for days now. You have two ships bells and they're not on the center line!

I think, that main belt is too short and too small. The only thing it will be able to do is to protect your machinery from torpedoes. I dont really know whether am I right or not, but it seems to me so.
