They are "allround" for both brown and blue water mission. I used the IRL Hajen III class as model, she is 79x5,3x5,1m and the USS Grayback 96x8x5,1m and tried to fit her in between.

I agree the Hajen needs more beam and judging from the drawing, more hull depth too. The internal arrangements would be very cramped otherwise.
I do like the idea of mounting the SSMs at the stern though, might be less draggy underwater?

These submarines could be less-than-perfect designs if they were real, but I like them.

I don't know much about submarines but could you explain the launch sequence for the missile sub thanks. At present it looks like if it launched as is it would go straight into the back of the sail, so there must be more to launching than what you have described so far.

The missile is stored in the aft magazine, when firimg, the missile is loaded on the launcher which is trainable and can be turned to fire the missile over the broadside but not dead ahead. I looks like the irl rail on the Hallanads excempt the torpedotube.

Like these submarines, especially the Hajen III. After reading below link, I think that this missile submarine is realistic, concerning how much ideas were on the table at 1960's. Link does not mension missile submarines, but who knows, perhaps this configuration was also considered. But it did says for a nuclear submarine and alternate fuels (e.g ammonia).

Probably because we have lately had several discussion with new members about shipbucket drawing rules and they quit often use your drawings as an argument: "why can he, but not us?" Your style is special and you have that permission to do so, for me at least.

It might also be because they want to distingu(ish) between different art form. Just my thoughts
