St Barbara Armaments SB556 Mod2:
[ img ]
[ img ]
The SB556 Mod2 is an enhanced version of the standard SB556 carbine designed to fulfill the requirements of the Corpus Christi Defense Force for a standard infantry carbine. As an option, the SB556 Mod2 features a new gas block design that features a bayonet lug that fits NATO-standard bayonets. A new flat dark earth color finish is used. The flat dark earth finish has lower IR signature than standard black finish and is an effective camouflage in various environments. The SB556 Mod2 goes with the FAB Defense Ultimag 30R polymer magazine, which goes with a window to allow rounds in the magazine to be counted.

Nice one,
but I think the lower RIS can be bigger for a better adjustment of front grips...
and maybe a BUIS (backup sight) would be helpful

otherwise i'am looking for more ;)

Well, the rail sections are actually detachable, mounting on KeyMod slots, which could mount other accessories as well. As for BUIS, the rifles are "optics-ready" by default, and mounted sights will depend on the individual soldier's requirements.

It is actually part of an entire family of weapons similar to the HK416/417 and there will be a version that can convert from 7.62 NATO to 5.56 NATO by swapping out the upper receiver.

was thinking more along the lines of slightly heavier barrel in either calibre and Bipod to act as a squad support weapon.

See the SB556IAR. All versions of the rifle use MIL-B-11595E steel fluted barrels and given a Melonite treatment for increased hardness. Bipods could be mounted on the KeyMod slots or on Picatinny rails mounted on the KeyMod slots

Hi all ;-)

I want to show you a first version of the main weapon of the new AU I'm working on ;-)

[ img ]

"SG" means "Sturmgewehr" (assault rifle).
The gun is based on the M4/ AR15 line with some extra parts (upper, lower, RIS, stock, grip...).

Hope you like it ;-)
