So, yesterday I finished up the Loyal Convert in Shipbucket scale, and to be honest I was disappointed with how it turned out; it's a small vessel and much of the interesting detail seemed to be lost. So, for the next project, I decided to eschew Shipbucket scale for the sake of the fun details. I used twice SB scale - 4px per foot.

In any case. This is the frigate USS Confederacy, one of the Continental Navy frigates built during the Revolution. The USS Alliance was a close sistership; Alliance was three feet shorter, among other things.

*Mouth waters* Sooo... where's my French ships-of-the-line then? Those that actually helped secure United States' freedom and independence! :D :D  As always Brock, you overawe me with your skills!

I don't have any line drawings of French ships-of-the-line. I do have one of the 74-gun America, which was gifted to the French, however.

I've also got drawings of Essex (the frigate, not the carrier class), the President and sisterships, and hull-only drawings of all USN ships-of-the-line.

*LOL* I think I may find some drawings. It'll take some time, but if you're willing to go for it, lemme know and I'll dig!

If you have any drawings handy, I'll take a look at them, but no promises. Sometimes I just get the bug to draw a particular ship, and this weekend it was the sailing ships.

Great work Brock. You've got the sailing bug alright. This looks stunning at this scale. You know we want more...

Excellent work, and this scale sure makes full justice to these ships.
