Hi Glorfindel.
I have some questions. The War of the Pacific was in 1879, what american uniforms were inspired in the Chilean ones (I know some Union regiments with red pants, but this are very baggy, maybe copy of a Chilean zouave regiment, and of course 18 years before, during ACW)? Which Chilean uniforms were (1879-1880 blue and red, or 1881 greyish light blue)? Do you have any drawing of the uniform of a Chilean zouave regiment (a very intresting combination, with zouave style baggy pants and gaiters, but with a non zouave short jacket -almost a light cavalry jacket-, and with a kepi instead of the north african fez)? Thanks.

I mean, that my US Army civil war uniforms are a product of my chilean army uniforms of the war of the pacific, I drew before. Of course, the uniforms of both armies were influenced by the French. From the beginning of the 19th century until about 1870/71 the french set the trend in all matters of military fashion. So the chilean army started the war with uniforms that were almost copies of the french uniform with blue jacket und red trousers. They began to change the colour of the uniforms since 1880 to a light blue-grey.

Thanks, clearly I misunderstood you! I'm drawing some artillery of the War of the Pacific, but the figurines are unfortunatelly of a different scale. Cheers.

I tried to draw peruvian soldiers in FD scale. Those in 1941 uniform were -if benevolent- fair, but the ones in 1879 uniforms were very ungainly.

The details of your figurines are impressive! Excellent work, all of you!
One question: Can you tell me the Figurine Scale details? Which is the mean height of the figurine?
Thanks, and once again, excellent work!

Hi, Glorfindel. Your uniforms are an oustanding collection of drawings. Excellent work, really!
May you say me where are your chilean uniforms of the War of the Pacific? Thanks.
