sorry to say, but what about getting the start correct first before adding details? I mean, this doesn't really work.

Hi Lebroba,

A quick question - this looks like it uses the prop-and-pod system that dwightlooi has got on his "FFG 500" designs (he uses the ABB Azipod XC, he says) - but his are centrelined and yours look like they're mounted on the outer hulls - would you not run into a clearance issue on the azipod if that's the case?

Regards,
Adam

It was supposed to be a hybrid SWATH and trimaran. But I guess that doesnt work well because the center hull nullifies the benefits of the SWATH hulls. I thought it was the silliest thing ever when I saw the azipod Contra-rotating prop setup on dwightlooi's FFG-500, but after reading about it, I became a fan.

I thought it would be really effective on aSWATH hull. I might still try to do something like that,

Thanks for the intelligent question and feedback apdsmith.

Whatever the finer details, it's a lovely piece of work...

Looking good so far. It's hard to judge the exact sizes, but I'd move the Helios all the way aft and put the landing spot in the center. That way you can extend the hangar further aft because right now it looks too small to take a meaningful sized helicopter. I'd also move the air omtales to the sides if the superstructure to keep them clear of the water.

yeah, that looks much better. I am uncertain how that bridge layout will work (it is incredebly spacious, but that disturbs the line of sight of each invidual position) but that is an minor problem

watch out for the LCS-2 hull shape, 75% of the volume is aft of midship so you need to have 75% of the weight there to keep it stable. helidecks weigh not a lot, nor do hangars, so only if you have big cargo spaces aft which are always filled or ballasted, this hull shape is not suited for this ship :P

Change around the super structure to lower profile and threw on a funky paint job, cause that's chic now.
