Thanks mates :D I'm glad you KHT think the Iron Duke is sexy, because my only source was a stamp with the vessel too ;)

Kim, these badges are outstandingly brilliant to say the very least. If you don't mind I've adopted that stunning "Achates" badge for my Greek AU light battlecruiser eventhough I have no idea what the Latin inscription means. Thank you Sir, once again. :D

Thank you very, very much Eswube and Monty :D Monty I haven't anything against it (in fact it looks very good on your drawing!). Only thing to consider is, would a greek vessel have a badge with latin :?: :D
Here is one more badge to the grand project

My latest creation to the grand project; the badge for HMS Canada. Drawing badges can some times be fun, some times exciting, some times challenging but always satisfying. This one was the most challenging ever  In fact it was a night mare. Never had I used so much time on a badge (more than four days :( ) and I must admit I'm not satisfied myself. But I don't cope for more, and only because Bombhead needs it, it is now released :? I do hope though you'll think it's useable.

The badge Kim, is beyond anything previously seen, and the time spent on drawing it, was well worth it.

Thanks mates, but you may see something in it I can't. I've looked at the original so much (maybe to much) and felt that I didn't catch the spirit of it. But if you all like it I'm happy though ;)

I don't know if Aboukir is a place or a crocodile, but I'm pretty sure it's Egyptian. For Bombhead's armoured cruiser is here an old - but newly drawn - badge ;)

Wonderful drawing Kim thank you. These old unofficial badges just have so much character.
HMS Aboukir was named Nelson's famous victory at the battle of the Nile, fought in Aboukir bay. The battle is known in France by the name Bataille d'Aboukir. Iv'e called the crocodile Fred. ;)
