Bréguet 19 in Yugoslav service

Bréguet's very successful Br.19 had a significant career in Yugoslavia from 1924 until after the Axis invasion.

Yugoslavia purchased a fleet of Br.19 A.2's in 1924 and acquired a licence for domestic construction, with production of more advanced models continuing until 1937.
The initial aircraft were constructed as the A.2 (reconnaissance) model, but over time many were modified into B.2 (light bomber) configuration. The first batch of aircraft were fitted with a Lorraine-Dietrich engine, which was changed to a Hispano-Suiza engine, before the final batch of A.2's were produced with a Gnome-Rhône radial engine.
Yugoslavia took the lead in further development of the Br.19,7, with France providing the initial work for the more advanced Br19.7 model with a Hispano-Suiza engine, with further production continuing in Yugoslavia in 1932. Switching to a higher powered Wright radial engine Yugoslavia produced the Br19.8 model, while a single prototype of each of a Br19.9 and Br19.10 were flown although not entered into production.
The Br.19.7's and .8's were still frontline combat aircraft in 1941, and flew vainly as light bombers and reconnaissance aircraft against the Axis invaders.

Bréguet 19 in Croatian service

With the Yugoslav surrender the fascist Independent State of Croatia was formed, and some of the surrendered Yugoslav war materiel was allocated to Croatia's new military forces.

[ img ]

The more modern equipment was confiscated, but surviving second tier equipment was permitted by the conquerors to be formed into Croatian military and para-military formations. Surviving Br.19.7's and Br.19.8's were used by Croatia in anti-partisan roles against Chetnik and communist guerillas throughout the war years.

Italian Fiat BR.20M during the Battle of Britain

Italy joined the war against Britain and France as France was collapsing in a cynical attempt to gain spoils from a seat at the victors' table.

[ img ]

After the French armistice Italy committed BR.20 bombers to Belgium to join the aerial assault in Britain as night bombers. Italy did not have a specific night bomber camouflage scheme, and instead the Italian aircraft were progressively "blacked up" as the campaign continued.

German A310-304 MRTT 2022
I had the personal pleasure in being able to see 10+25 on what is currently scheduled as her last ever deployment to the United States. She was a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. During this Pensacola 2022 deployment she did not have her Probe-and-Drogue system employed as she was likely on a mission to pick up or drop off trainees of German Air Force Training Squadron 2 at NAS Pensacola. (She is still classified as MRTT without the Probe-and-Drogue system employed)

German A310-304 MRTT 2014
Seeing as I was in the spirit of German A310 posting, thought it would only be fair if I showed her off with the Probe-and-Drogue system as well.

As far as I could figure out the Luftwaffe's A310 lost their refuelling capability in September 2020. A310-304 10+25 "Hermann Köhl" is the only one still in service and has recently been active as MEDEVAC evacuating seriously injured people from Ukraine to German.
