I don't usually comment in this thread, but Craig's latest additions are exceptionally fine.

Hi Craig

I usually don't even watch this thread, but that's going to have to change. These steam engines are just... WOW

Yes and no! Air braking was introduced in about 1868. At first the equipment wasn't up to powering a whole train (leaks in the system). This particular road, the NPCRR had air breaks added over time and relied heavily on good old fashioned hand breaks into the 1880's. We have the cash books and ledger entries showing purchases and shop expenses. There are also a couple surviving cars that show the frame modifications and hardware added! Cool stuff.

Philippines, LRT-1 Series 1200:

The Series 1200 of the Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 1 is the third generation of rolling stock used on the line. These light rail vehicles were built by Kinki Sharyo and Nippon Sharyo and put in service on the line in late 2006 and early 2007, complementing the first generation stock built by BN/ACEC and the second generation stock built by Hyundai/Adtranz. The addition of these light rail vehicles made LRT-1 one of the highest capacity light rail systems in the world. However, due to it running on a fully grade-separated route, LRT-1 is more of a rapid transit than a light rail system.
