be difficult at this scale to tell the difference between the 4.5 & 5.5 medium gun

Actually it is very easy - in the top right hand corner you put UK 4.5" medium calibre artillery gun. or 5.5" gun. Then everybody knows.

Well, all I can say is that, when I was in the U.S. Army in the 1970's, I
saw plenty of cooks from the U.S., British, and West German armies, and
they all wore white aprons to serve food, even in mess tents in the field,
and the U.S. cooks wore white uniforms with white aprons to serve food
in the Mess Halls/Cafeterias on U.S. Army posts.

I believe M3A3s would be the more common complement at least in the D-Day period and beyond.

In Armoured brigade, Stuart III
In Armoured division, Stuart V
In Gds armoured division Stuart VI

As I understand, 1/3 of III & V was Jalopies at normandy time, later 2/3.
