Once i started with the OrBats but they are frozen since I started the draws of the Department of Homeland Security (Gendarmeria done, Fire & Rescue about 50% and Civil Guard 0%)...

Hello again people!!!

After a little break for study :D here I am for post the works done for the Corpo dei Vigili del Fuoco (Fire Fighters Corp)!!!

The Vigili del Fuoco (VdF) are resposible of the Fire & Rescue service in Caribia, among this role the VdF are responsible of the EMS (Emergency Medical Service), the Speleological/River Rescue Service and the HazMat Rescue.
The HazMat Rescue is done together with the National Guard but in a more capillary distribution (the NG use regional centers and have a reaction time between 24h), the VdF maintain a certain number of assets in almost every city, in most of the Airports and close to the major industries.

You may find some "doppelgangers" in those vehicles, but consider that those are National selections (by the main office) and every Station have to choose the one who fit better their needs, respecting also the budget and the usage of the vehicle.
So You will see a distinction in Light, Medium, Heavy in almost every role... :D

Lets go!!!

The Dodge Ram is used as utility vehicle by the VdF thanks to his commonality with other services and easy to find also among to the population.

The FIAT Ducato is also here a back bone, but is used in most of the "second line"/support duties of the VdF, used in the cities is perfect to move equipment in support of the firefighters engaged in some intense activities.

The FIAT Scudo is cheep respect to the RAM so more easy to maintain and operate, it's light weight and small dimensions are perfect in the city!

Here is the Real backbone of the VdF the IVECO Daily is used in almost every role in first and second line, due to the huge amount of versions are divided in 3 papers, in the first one there are the vans, in the second one there are the combined and the last one is just for the 4x4 versions.
Whit the Daily we start to see some real Fire Truck, those can be used in some secondary stations in small cities and in the country towns and villages.

The IVECO EuroCargo open the Medium section of the trucks. Those are most of the real fire trucks in Italy, and thanks to this they are very popular also in Caribia. The EuroCargo is very popular in almost every town fire Department in Caribia, they use it as main Rescue Pumper for most of the emergencies.

The IVECO Grizzly is the the EuroCargo 4x4 with a short base for a better maneuverability in the wildland.

The IVECO Massif is one of the most used vehicles in the VdF thanks to his excellent maneuverability off road and in the city is chosen very often by the stations in one of the 2 main versions (Mod. 90 and Mod.110), the Mod. 160 is used principally by Special Units.

The Heavy section start with the IVECO Stralis, this truck is the main fire truck in Caribia, but is bit expansive to buy and maintain, the capacity is a big justification for the price, this truck is perfect in cities and town.
The Stralis is used also i the industries fire department and in various airports as support fire truck.
The main version is the 4x2, the 6x2 are Very Heavy duty and the 8x2 are just as aerial ladders and hydraulic platform.

The Land Rover Discovery is used by the Chief of the Department as command car, this cause the high cost of the car for a fire Department.

The Airports are "covered" by the VdF ARFF section (except the Military Airports), and the main truck is the Rosenbauer Panther 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 with and without the Stinger HERT system used to pierce the fuselage of the aircraft after an accident.

A special duty of the VdF is the disaster relief and due to the geography of the Kingdom the main vehicles are amphibious trucks made by IVECO since the 1980's.
The main vehicle is the 6640G bought in a large number at the beginning of the 1990's and updated in the 2000's. Even if the Duffy is newer than the 6640G, the G model is still the best vehicle used by the VdF.

The EMS Service is part of the Corpo dei Vigili del Fuoco (VdF), and You will find the ambulances in the fire stations among the fire trucks (like in the US).
The selection of vehicles are based on the same criteria of the firetrucks and this is why there are so many ambulances, and is possible to find an ambulance for almost every situation.

The EMS Support service is very important, is based on two sections.
The first section is the one responsible of providing a Doctor to situations where is required a knowledge higher than the EMT-P (in the ALS ambulances) and the EMT-I (in the BLS ambulances).
The second section is responsible of the Disaster Respond/Relief, those vehicles carry all the equipment for Punto Medico Avanzato (PMA) that is a basic field hospital used mainly as Triage in case of Mass Emergencies and pubblic events that regroup a huge number of people.
