Lately I've been attempting to draw all of the roller ships that there are available image references or specifications for, and while doing research on the Knapp Roller Boat I came across this odd little vessel proposed during WWI to serve as a littoral sub chaser. Most likely inspired by the SS Ernest Bazin, the vessel features two Bazin rollers in the front and a larger, single roller with paddles in the rear.

You can find the other roller ships drawn in SB scale in the Merchant Ships thread in the Real Designs section and the Roller Ships thread in the Never Built section.

In the SB thread mentioning this vessel I wrote that I'm looking forward to see it in FD, only to notice minutes later that it has been already done! :D
Great work!

may I ask for a front or top view? just to get a feel for the scale of this thing, so a rough one is ok for me ;)
that said, this looks like a lot more workable then the previous roller ship drawings, as she would actually have a counterballance for the force of the engine.

@Ace

I used the SS Ernest Bazin's specifications to calculate a length to beam ratio to apply to the sub chaser.

I left the front and top views uncolored in case I need to make any modifications.

That is one weird design allright!
Looks much better in FD scale. Seems a little poorly armed for a sub chaser, unless the plan was to catch them on the surface?

I found it odd at how lightly armed it was as well.
