So I was supposed to be drawing O'Higgins, but started toying with WhyMe's SC-1 in SB, then one thing led to the other and this happened.

These were a large class of wooden built ASW boats of Great War vintage, that ended up being useful for a lot of things and helped clear the great north sea mine barrage too.

This is a "generic" sub chaser representing no boat in particular.

Your comments and feedback are very welcome, as usual, and if you want to tackle one of these babies (four hundred and forty one were built!) feel free to do so! Just make sure to let everyone know.

Oh, and by the way, if you're wondering where the .30" machine guns are, it turns out they rarely appear on pictures. Guess there just wasn't too much to shoot at with them.

Wow, simply amazing! Wonderful job, Charguizard!
If you are not planning on depicting some of the weirder conversions of these boats, I might give it a go ;)

Now that's a masterpiece!
Brilliant work on the 3"/23 gun :)

That's a happy diversion and one that certainly looks very good and is up there with the best of the FD scale ships drawn so far.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, it's fantastic that you find these to your liking.

@WhyMe, please do give it a go, the late versions with Mousetrap, a Bofors and two Oerlikons are very interesting but I won't be touching these for a while.
Everyone else also feel free to do so.

Here's the 3"/23 if anyone needs it, the submarine retractable version needs a different pedestal, the breech block erased (it was vertical) and the funny looking circular shield.

Beautiful drawing! Hard to think of such a vessel as an actual warship, but it's not as if WW1-era submarines were much more than a tin-can deathtrap.
